Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 August 2026

1. Introduction

Quantum Explorer ("the App") is an educational application that lets you explore interactive quantum computing demonstrations — quantum circuits, algorithms and simulations. This page explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights. We keep things simple: the App collects no personal data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

3. How the App Works

The App is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs quantum computing demonstrations. The quantum circuits and simulations run on your device or via our servers at quantum-explorer.duckdns.org. When you open a demo, your browser or the app communicates with our server to fetch the demonstration content. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be recorded by our hosting provider for the sole purpose of keeping the service running and secure. These logs are not used to identify or profile you.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and is designed as an educational tool. It does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else. No parental consent is required because no personal data is collected.

5. Data Security

Because the App collects no personal data, there is nothing to secure on our side beyond the safe operation of the website itself, which is served over HTTPS.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may embed videos from YouTube (via YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode). When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies or collect data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. This only happens if you choose to play a video.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
